Rose hip tea can serve as a dietary supplement that provides a natural source of vitamin C as well as carotenoids like beta-carotene and lycopene. Also known as ‘dog rose’ (Latin name = Rosa canina), the scarlet ‘hips’ are hand picked during their peak of ripeness to ensure optimum quality. The dog rose is native to Europe, Northern Africa and Western Asia, and its hips are traditionally used as a fruity breakfast tea, often in combination with hibiscus flower.
How does it taste? Pleasantly fruity, sweet and sour. Its vitamin C content gives it a fresh, tart taste.
