Maïtake Mushrooms, also called “Hen of the Woods” are nutritious and often used by Chefs. They have a wonderful aroma and a spicy flavour. For thousands of years, Asian healers have used these edible mushrooms in tonics, teas, tisanes, rice Pilaf, sautéed, pastas, cream sauce and ragout with quinoa to promote health.
Dried mushrooms rehydrate at about an 8:1 ratio when soaked in warm water for 30-45 minutes.
